Quality and results

Global Health Partners is working to compile quality data from existing and new clinics in the network in such a way that internal and external benchmarking can be implemented and communicated.

Results are measured in a number of different ways and based on both objective and subjective factors. For example, factors such as returning to work, perception of quality of life and pain level are measured. For comparison between clinics, both private and state funded, Sweden is at the forefront of data collection, which is published by the Swedish Spine Register on the Swedish Society of Spinal Surgeons' website. During 2009, a collaborative relationship in respect of quality auditing and comparison was established with German medical group Schön Kliniken, a forerunner in this field on their domestic market.

Another factor that is carefully measured and followed-up is waiting times. This becomes even more important with the new Swedish law on health care guarantee as of July 1, 2010. Global Health Partner’s two Swedish Spine clinics have short waiting times compared to other comparable clinics.

Global Health Partner’s three clinics perform significantly more operations per clinic and surgeon than the average for the rest of the Swedish clinics - something that forms the basis for our high competence and quality.
