Quality and results
Service Line Orthopaedics focuses on being in the forefront so as to be able to meet the generally increasing interest from both individual patients and health care purchasers with regard to the following up of quality and the reporting of actual results.
The orthopaedics treatment area is extremely broad and contains several sub-specialities. Global Health Partner’s clinics aim to contribute to all the national quality registers. What cannot be found in the national quality registers is supplemented internally. For example, quality of life is not followed up in the knee register, but on the other hand it is followed up in the hip register. The health care chain for prosthetic hip and knee operations is very similar, and so we choose to ensure patient focus, benchmarks and actual results for our prosthetic knee patients as well.
Generally speaking there is a marked change in the market with regard to the demand for the following up of quality and to being able to give information on actual results. This applies both to purchasers of health care and to individual patients. A clear example of this is the free choice of a health care provider within Stockholm County Council (SCC).
