Diagnoses and treatments

The entire spectrum of orthopedic surgery is offered at Global Health Partner's two Ortho Centers.

Sports traumatology is a sub-category within Service Line Orthopaedics and focuses on the treatment of joints, soft tissue problems and sports-related injuries. Arthroscopy is used both to diagnose and treat injuries. Sports traumatology aimed not only to patients with sports injuries but also to other patients with musculoskeletal disorders.

The other important sub-category within this Service Line are prosthetic surgery (knee and hip prostheses).

The emphasis of the activities at the two clinics is, to some extent, different. Ortho Center Stockholm is mainly concerned with hip and knee replacements, while the Ortho Center IFK-kliniken concentrates mainly on arthroscopic procedures on knees, hips and shoulders performed as day surgery cases. Both clinics, however, offer  the whole spectrum of orthopaedic operations.
