Background

Spine surgery and spine related treatments are increasing as the knowledge and techniques among neurologists and orthopaedic surgeons are developed. In most European public healthcare systems these treatments are seldom prioritised and often secondary to other patient groups. Trauma and emergency cases should always be treated in hospitals equipped to provide the best care for these patients, but elective care can be better organised in smaller units which are set up for the most effective treatment processes.

Strategy

Global Health Partner, together with leading spine clinicians, is starting up multi disciplinary treatment programmes in small units with high productivity and effectiveness. It is our belief that by involving Surgeons, Psychologists, Radiologists and Physiotherapists in a team for each patient we can provide better care and understanding of spine related problems.

By performing scientific studies and collecting clinical data for international publication, the Spine Service Line clinics independently or together are aiming to achieve best practise.
